Day 27

Pre-Algebra: Chapter 3-2
Solving one step equations
Equations have to have an equal sign with variables and numbers known as constants. To solve 1 step equations, we are going to isolate the variables on one side and the constants on the other.
Treat the equation as a balance beam and add or subtract constants to isolate the variables. MAKE SURE THAT YOU ADD OR SUBTRACT THE SAME NUMBER FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE EQUATION.

Algebra: Chapter 3-5 and 3-6
Continuing the solutions for 2 step equations
If we have decimals in our equation, we can multiply both sides by some power of 10 to convert the decimals to whole numbers. This can make the math computation required much easier.
If you have variables on both sides of the equation, then we move the variables to one side and keep the constants on the other. Just like in lessons 3 and 4, we can move variables to one side of the equation by adding or subtracting them.
