Day 65

Pre-Algebra: Chapter 6-3

Multiplying Fractions

To multiply fractions, keep it simple! Multiply the numerators and then the denominators. Don’t forget to reduce! You can cross cancel (or cross divide) to simplify the answer as well.

Example: x = (5/12) * (2/9), multiply the numerators (5 * 2), then the denominators (12 * 9) for an answer of (10/108). Reduce by dividing both top and bottome by 2 for a final answer of (5/54)!

Algebra: Chapter 9-2

Compound Sentences

Conjuctions and Disjunctions are like Intersections and Unions (respectively) from lesson 9-1. A disjunction of 2 statements is formed by connecting them with the word “or”. A disjunction is true when one or both statements are true.

A conjunction of 2 statements is formed by connecting them with the word “and”. A conjunction is true when both statements are true.
