Intro to Algebra: Chapter 1-5
This was a major lesson in that it combined the use of the distributive property, factoring and combining like terms all in one package. REMEMBER, to add like terms, the variables in each term must be the same AS WELL AS the exponent of each variable. The number in front of the variable is the “coefficient” and a term with just a number is called a “constant”. We will get better and faster with practice and it is easier in the beginning of factoring to write out the common terms.
