1. Go slow
2. Look at the graphs, if given for information
- slope
- y-intercept
- roots, x-intercepts, zeroes or answers
- test for (0,0)
- line type in inequalities, solid for ≥ and ≤, dashed for > and <
- inequality shading
3. Box method factoring
4. FOIL
5. Quadratic formula/equation
6. Discriminant information, `b^2 – 4ac`
- If greater than 0 (`>0`), there are 2 roots
- If equal to 0 (`=0`), then there is 1 root
- If less than 0 (`<0`), there are NO REAL roots
7. GUESS AND CHECK IS A PERECT STRATEGY
- Eliminate solutions that don’t work!
