Day 92

Pre-Algebra: Chapter 7 Review

We are reviewing all of Chapter 7 in preparation for the Chapter test on Tuesday. We work on end of the Chapter review, even problems today and for homework and the odd ones on Monday. Don’t forget the mnemonics ” King Henry Died Monday Drinking Chocolate Milk” or the NEW ONE, “Kids Have Dropped Over (over stands for meters, grams or Liters) Dead Converting Metrics”.

Algebra: Chapter 5-11

We can multiply polynomials using the FOIL method or the vertical method. FOIL works but can make the problems unwieldy. The vertical method keeps things a little more organized. Remember, the vertical method can be done from right to left or from left to right (the book does it this way and I go from right to left). Don’t forget too, you may have to add the missing terms in a polynomial to keep things lined up when you do vertical multiplication. More vertical multiplication examples are here.
